Others Have Shared...

I wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed your PD class. I think it was the only parenting class I have taken where I felt empowered and not ridden with guilt afterwards. I think one of the most valuable things for me was learning that much of [my child's] “negative” behavior is motivated by his need to feel included and to get attention... things are definitely smoother in our house simply because I have a better understanding of the motivation behind his behavior.

I really appreciated that you shared your own personal experiences as examples.  It really helped me better understand the concepts you were teaching.  Thank you so much for teaching these classes. I’m sure you have helped and touched many families as you have mine.

J.R.

Thank you! This class has helped me be a better parent, but what you didn't tell me is how much it would  help my marriage and my work life as well!

T.Y.

I have used the materials and the information that I gained in the PD class...  I can’t even imagine how I taught parent ed before...  I think of you both almost daily as I see how powerful the methods you taught us of gaining mutual respect take hold in the classroom and then parents begin to use it too.  The work you are doing is so very important in our world today and I want to thank you for sharing it with so many.

“... I so appreciated Sahara’s enthusiasm and spirit.  Her ability to share with us that she too struggles with things – really helped me to know that I can only do my best.”

I really have enjoyed your positive energy and openness.  I have felt very safe in this class.

Thank-you, Sahara.  Your work and your amazing presence is of incredible value to all of us.

From class evaluations:

Would you recommend this class to other parents?

  • Absolutely, every parent and therefore every child would benefit from this class.  It gives a parent great skills. D. R.
  • Yes.  It gave us tools, rather than flying by the seat of our pants.  It tosses the old rewards/punishment paradigm in favor of something that makes MUCH more sense in the long term.  Respects the child.
  • Yes, this class was informative, realistic, interactive.  I’ve always respected Jane Nelsen and her books, but this class helped me put the things I know into practice.
  • Yes.  These are skills that any person, not just parents need.   These are real tools. D. C.
  • Yes. Because it is such a positive difference in what is available.  It works. This is so powerful. T. B.
